We start by asking what each camera has to do. Detecting that someone is at a dock door and identifying a face at a cashier station need very different lenses, mounting heights, and pixel density. Buying cameras first and deciding later is the most common mistake we see. Then we size storage to your retention policy (7, 14, 30, or 90 days), decide whether recorders need RAID or redundant power, and check PoE capacity.

When a door is forced, held open, or an intrusion zone trips, the event can be tied to the camera covering that door, so investigators jump straight to the right clip. We monitor the health of your system, not the live video. Through our Network Operations Center, an IPS application on the video server checks devices and cybersecurity controls and sends data outbound over TLS to our secure AWS server. When a camera drops or recording fails, we troubleshoot it under your maintenance contract. If you need someone watching video or responding to alarms, that is a separate monitoring provider.

Call us or open a remote session through our support portal. Many problems, such as a dropped feed after a switch change or a camera that lost its recording schedule, can be diagnosed remotely. If a truck roll is needed, service is dispatched within a reasonable time during normal hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. After-hours work can be scheduled at additional charge. Time-and-material work is billed at our prevailing rates.

Yes, if you plan for it. The usual limits are not the cameras but switch ports, PoE budget, recorder licenses, and storage. We leave headroom in those where it makes sense and document what is left, so adding ten cameras next year is a scope change rather than a redesign. If your existing cabling and network meet the need, we can reuse them instead of starting over.

Yes. Our Support Programs include two preventative maintenance visits per contract year, with database metrics and performance analysis, plus priority response for remote and onsite support. You also get a documented history of your system from the first sales visit through installation and resolved support issues. Firmware is the usual gap: it rarely has an owner or a policy. Someone should update it on a schedule, then confirm each device still works.

Pricing is based on the number of devices and the services in the quote. Camera count is only part of it: cable path difficulty, lift equipment, after-hours work in occupied areas, and storage for your retention period all move the number. That is why we price after a scope review or site assessment, not from a web form. Variable-scope work is billed on a time-and-material basis at prevailing rates.
