IPS starts with a risk and needs assessment, then designs, installs, configures, and supports the result.

In occupied buildings, most of the work is planning. We agree on shutdown windows, which doors can be offline and for how long, where lift trucks or ceiling access are needed, and what IT must provide: VLANs, IP addresses, and PoE capacity. On large jobs an electrician may supply labor while we bring the parts and the programming. Work runs in business hours unless the quote says otherwise. You accept the installation and training before closeout.

Yes. The useful version links events: a door-forced or door-held alarm opens the matching camera view, and access records and video can be searched together during an investigation. Decide in design which events matter, or operators get flooded with pop-ups and start ignoring them. For new readers we generally recommend OSDP, which supervises the reader wiring and supports encryption. Wiegand is simpler but sends credentials unencrypted.

You trade capital spend for an operating expense spread over the system's life, and software updates arrive immediately. The integration question is what stays on site. Controllers and door hardware always do, and video often records locally to save bandwidth.

The IPS Network Operations Center watches the health of your security devices. Probes on your servers and an IPS application on the video server run constant health checks and cybersecurity controls. In an integrated system one failure can break a chain: if the video server goes down, door alarms still fire but nothing records. The NOC flags that with nearly immediate notifications, and we resolve it through your maintenance contract. It does not watch video or dispatch responders.

Yes. Support programs include two preventative maintenance visits per contract year with database metrics and performance analysis, priority response times, a complete documented history, and pre-recorded training. For integrated systems, retest the integrations after every software update. In our experience, a version upgrade on one platform is a frequent reason a camera call-up or door release quietly stops working.

Pricing is based on the number of devices and the services in the quote. If the installed device count or services grow beyond the quote, the price changes accordingly, and time-and-material work is billed at prevailing rates. After-hours work or scheduling around equipment shutdowns can add charges. The form starts the conversation. A price follows a scope review or site assessment.
