IPS does not monitor fire alarm signals or call the fire department. That service comes from a third-party monitoring company, which you contract directly. When you choose one, ask whether the central station is UL listed. Also ask how it handles supervisory and trouble signals and what communicator path it needs. Copper phone lines are going away, so plan for cellular or dual-path communicators from the start.

Most of our fire alarm work happens with people in the building. We phase device replacement by floor or zone so that protection stays in place, and we agree on any impairment periods and fire watch with you and the AHJ ahead of time. Standard work runs 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. After-hours or shutdown work can be scheduled, and additional charges may apply.
