Decide early who owns the credential database, because remote sites with many contractors are where stale credentials pile up.

No. IPS does not monitor alarm signals, watch live video, or dispatch responders. Alarm monitoring comes from a monitoring provider you contract with, or from your own security operations center. What IPS monitors is device health through our NOC, so a failed camera or offline recorder gets flagged and fixed under your maintenance contract. For any central station, ask about redundancy, how alarms are verified with video, and escalation procedures.

It requires transmission owners to run a risk assessment, evaluate threats and vulnerabilities, and put in place a documented physical security plan. Your compliance team decides applicability. After-hours work or work tied to an outage window can be scheduled at an added charge. Repairs found during inspections come to you for approval first.
