Most hospitals need access control on pharmacies, medication rooms, IT closets and staff-only areas. They also need video at entrances, the emergency department, parking and loading docks, and intrusion detection for areas that close overnight. Where you start depends on your incidents. If your problems are after-hours theft, start with doors and intrusion. If they are disputes and liability claims, start with camera coverage at the points of conflict.

Yes. The access control platforms we install scale from a single door to thousands, and they allow remote management of multiple facilities from one system. That lets a central security team add or revoke badges across clinics without visiting them. The decision to make early is standardization. Using the same readers, credentials and camera models at every site makes support far simpler.

We walk the facility with your security and facilities leads. We review door hardware, reader locations, camera coverage, recorder health and alarm zones, and we note where workflow and security conflict, such as propped doors. The assessment is obligation-free. You get a prioritized plan you can phase around patient care. It is not a regulatory survey, so compliance decisions stay with your accrediting body and AHJ.

Access control restricts sensitive areas and provides an auditable record of every entry. It also avoids re-keying when staff leave. The weak point we see most often in healthcare is credential ownership: badges for travel nurses, contractors and departed staff that stay active. Bring HR in so a termination triggers badge removal, and audit access quarterly. Egress locking on patient units also needs AHJ review before installation.

Yes. We assess the facility, design camera coverage, and install and commission the system. Cameras near nurse stations or registration desks can capture patient information on screens. IPS does not provide staffed alarm monitoring or live video monitoring. For intrusion alarms, our monitoring partners provide 24/7/365 monitoring and response, and IPS installs and services the sensors and systems. Separately, our Network Operations Center monitors the health of your security devices. It flags failed cameras, recorders and servers so we can troubleshoot them under your maintenance contract.

Support programs include two preventative maintenance visits per contract year, priority response for remote and onsite support, and a documented history of your system. You also get pre-recorded training sessions, which help with high staff turnover. Service calls cover dropping camera feeds, intermittent door readers and poor displays. Standard service runs during business hours, and after-hours work can be scheduled at additional charge.
